- We, the community of Ascension Catholic Church of Bastrop Texas, are united as one family of faith with the Holy Roman Church. We are a Christ-centered parish, with Mary as our spiritual mother and the Holy Spirit as our guide. We celebrate the Liturgy of Word and Eucharist as it is the source and summit of our faith in order to call all people to conversion.
